6 Things to Add to Your Daily Routine that Eliminates Cellulite

Cellulite is one of the top complaints women have about their bodies. And the vast majority of women get cellulite sometimes in their life. The reason women get cellulite more than men is because the genders don’t have the same collagen structure. Collagen is the necessary fiber that sits right below the dermis and is responsible for plumpness and firmness in skin.

Collagen fibers in men run crisscross which allows the fibers to better support the fat beneath the skin. However, in women, the collagen fibers run vertically, which allow the fat tissue to come through and giving skin the “cottage cheese” look.

There are ways to naturally reduce the appearance of cellulite and by adding one of these six, simple things into your daily routine, you will start to see less cellulite, and in some cases, eliminate cellulite for good.

1. Stay Hydrated

Drinking enough water is the best way to keep your body healthy and keep your skin looking taunt and toned. Hydrated skin helps collagen production, which keeps your skin plump and firm. It is recommended that adults drink eight, 8oz glasses of water a day to stay fully hydrated.

2. Dry Brushing

While there is no scientific-based evidence that claims dry brushing reduces cellulite, there is still a lot of support for this habit. Dry brushing opens up the skin’s pores. By making long, sweeping brushing motions towards the heart, the skin is stimulated. Don’t brush too hard – the skin shouldn’t be red! Use a natural bristle brush to invigorate the skin, increase blood flow, and promote cell growth. And while there isn’t medical proof that it helps reduce cellulite, you will notice glowing, smoother, tighter skin.

3. Include a Little Cardio

Getting your heart pumping a little throughout the day will help reduce the appearance of cellulite on your thighs and help you lose any little bit of fat you may have. Incorporate 20-30 minutes of high-intensity cardiovascular exercise into your daily routine, at least 5 times a week. Cardio can include many different activities: running, swimming, or playing a sport like soccer or basketball.

4. Coffee Scrubs

Coffee scrubs can be beneficial in reducing cellulite. Not only does massaging your skin help increase blood flow, but the caffeine and antioxidants in coffee helps tighten skin. Cellulite appearances can be heightened when your skin is uneven, partially due to dead skin cells. A coffee scrub will also exfoliate your skin making it look brighter and even.

Try this mixture:

  • 1/4 cup coffee grounds
  • 3 tablespoons sugaror brown sugar
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of melted coconut oil

Form a paste and massage onto skin, then rinse. You’ll see results in no time!

5. Moisturize Naturally

Moisturizing daily, or twice daily, is important to healthy looking skin. However, constantly adding toxins on your skin by using chemical-heavy beauty products is just as bad for your skin as eating junk food. Use a simple, natural moisturizer like Coconut Oil to help detox your skin and keep it hydrated.

6. Eat Healthier
